some information for DIC   - at microbehunter

LHS-H100P-1 lamp houses are available, unlike filter holders
that space lamp houses 65mm from universal vertical illuminators,
to which they fasten by 3 screws around a 36mm cylindrical stub.

Operation

Optiphot 100-specific documentation is lacking, but Eclipse LV100D
has a similar vertical illuminator and manual describing DIC operation,
but a single DIC prism slider, instead of per-objective prisms:

crossed Nicols adjustment

Vertical illuminator B.F/D.F cubes

 As delivered, B.F cube was loose.
Remove left side plate (2 socket head screws) to access cubes,
which mount on a dovetail rail, located by spring-loaded detents.

D.F cube has an empty inner tube and 45 degree mirror in outer ring.

Select D.F to use objectives with transmitted light.
