Our main thermostat is a Honeywell TH6220D1002

5.5x3.5 inches. AKA FocusPRO 6000, lacking fan circulate mode
and also cannot be exactly configured for the furnace,
to which it is incorrectly wired.

Our thermostat had corroded AA cells and battery terminals.
Tape over vent holes blocked airflow for thermostat control...

63 Indoor: setting 64 Hold launches Heat On;
setting 65 provoked Aux Heat.
Setting 66 while 65 Indoor initially also provoked Aux Heat;


System seemingly must be nearly ready to stop
before bumping a degree, to avoid Aux Heat.
Duke Energy offers "smart" Thermostat Control incentives,
supports Emerson (now Copeland) Sensi ST55:
 
    its 5.88x3.75" covers potentially unpainted wall behind Honeywell.

ST55's fan circulation enabled only by app.
$99 from Amazon, but half that from ebay.

This seemingly jumpers heat pump to emergency heat...?
  • Emergency heat should not run heat pump, only furnace.
  • Aux heat may run both heat pump and furnace.
    Goodman furnace has 2-stage Aux heat...
  • Black wire is NOT connected at furnace (no EHR);
    repurpose white, black wires for Goodman W1, W2.
    Goodman furnaces now have W2, W3 instead of W1, W2,
    presumably considering first heating mode to be heat pump...

Sensi Smart Thermostat compatibility confirmed for AUX G O C Y R:

Instead of OT-1 and OT-2 SPST thermostats,
OT18-60A SPDT disconnects Y from heat pump,
rerouting that 24VAC back to indoor unit W2

Connected base C and RH to 24VAC;
with no load, other terminals measured 24VAC wrt C.
2.2k resistor seemingly sufficed
to pull down O/B, Y, G, W/E terminals.
Selecting Sensi app at App Store was somewhat confusing
- not the first option offered
- described as a "Lifestyle" app...??
Registered online, but iPhone Sensi app rejected that
and did not send email for "forgot password".

for app connection to ST55 Wi-Fi server.
