saying that driver would notifiy about 30 minutes before arrival.
Wednesday, driver just delivered pallet, leaving before we were aware.
The good: pallet was left near garage instead of at curb..
parts moved to living and dining room

Friday, 2 Oct labels for damaged or missing panels
-
panel 2

panel 11

panel 29

panel 33

- labels on panels like missing panels:

missing panel 70, like 51

assembly step 1: "tab A in slot B"

some cam holes too shallow (15mm Forstner bit ordered):

IMO, inserting cams in holes before pin insertions
unnecessarily risks cam alignment issues;
cam insertions after pin insertions work fine
except when cam holes are too shallow...
assembly step 6: headboard helper

18" box supported one end of headboard
while engaging cams at the other end.
wish labels had been glued to panels' hidden sides...
3 Oct step 16: heavy lifting
- Upper cabinet with back weighs around 180lbs;
no way do I lift that 34" onto lower cabinet by myself...
Once stacked, units become IMO effectively immobile. Consequently:
- First lower cabinet should be at its final location before stacking.
- Bed cabinets should be assembled and located before second side unit.
assembly step 18: upper bed cabinet
Panel 5 also has shallow cam holes; effectively halting assembly
pending 6 Oct Forstner bit delivery
